October 4 will mark the beginning of a two-day regional conference on "Good Governance" in Jaipur

The 2022 Award Winners under the PM's Awards for Excellence in Public Administration Scheme will be announced at the Regional Conference in Jaipur, which is scheduled for the 4th and 5th of October 2023.

Government of Rajasthan and DARPG worked together to plan the two-day Conference, which will be presided over by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, and Chief Minister of Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot.

The conference will showcase 13 Award winners across seven categories from 2022 Awardees, as well as Rajasthani winners of the PM's Award and the National e-Governance Award, and it will also highlight the state's best governance techniques. Along with the experience-sharing sessions for Award recipients, two plenary sessions on "Administrative Reforms and Effective Redressal of Public Grievances" and "Technology in Governance" have been planned.

A presentation and a short film on the history of the PMs Award programme for Excellence in Public Administration will be featured in the first session of the Regional Conference, which is titled "Administrative Reforms and Effective Redressal of Public Grievances 2014-2023." Speakers at the meeting include S.N. Mathur, Additional Secretary, D/o Pension, and V. Srinivas, Secretary DARPG. The DoPT's Additional Secretary Rahul Singh and the DARPG's JS NBS Rajput.

The Session II on the subject of "Technology in Governance" will be presided over by S.N. Tripathi, DG, IIPA. Manish Bhardwaj, DDG, UIDAI, Santosh Mishra, Partner, PWC, and Rachna Srivastava, DDG, NIC are the presenters for the session.

The opening remarks will be given by Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Independent Charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Minister of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Minister of State in the Department of Atomic Energy, and Minister of State in the Department of Space, Government of India. The keynote presentation during the opening session will be given by Rajasthan's Chief Minister, Ashok Gehlot. During the opening session, the Hon. MoS (PP) will also issue the electronic journal MGMG on PM Awarded initiatives, 2022 (edition Jan. The first meeting will be attended by Ramcharan Bohra, a member of parliament, and Govind Ram Meghwal, cabinet minister for disaster management and relief, administrative reforms, and statistical policy planning in the government of Rajasthan. The inaugural session will feature remarks from Usha Sharma, the chief secretary of Rajasthan, and V. Srinivas, the secretary of DARPG. There will be a movie showing of PM Awarded efforts in 2022.

Amar Nath, IAS (Retd.), Additional Secretary, DARPG, will preside over the PM Awarded initiatives, 2022 (Innovation - Centre) discussions at Session III.

The debate for session IV on PM Awarded projects, 2022 - Innovation (State) will be moderated by Vipin Kumar, Additional Secretary, M/o Education. A presentation on the subject of "Promoting Swasth Bharat (Healthy Bharat) & Holistic Development through Aspirational District Programme Session" will take place during Session V. NBS Rajput, Joint Secretary, DAR&PG, will preside over the session.

Hemant Gera, Principal Secretary, DOP, Government of Rajasthan, will preside over Day 2's Session VI, which will discuss the Best Practises of the Government of Rajasthan.

The Session VII will be presided over by Naveen Mahajan, DG, HCM RIPA, and will focus on "PM Awarded Initiatives, 2022 - Innovation (District)".

Discussions on the Best Practises of the Rajasthani Government will take place in Session VIII, which will be presided over by Veenu Gupta, Additional Chief Secretary, Government of Rajasthan.

Alok Kumar Gupta, Principal Secretary (AR), Government of Rajasthan, would preside over Session IX's discussions on "PM Awarded Initiatives, 2022 (Priority Programme - Har Ghar Jal Yojana)".

The farewell speech will be given by Navin Mahajan, DG, HCM RIPA, Alok Gupta, Principal Secretary, AR, Govt. of Rajasthan, and V. Srinivas, Secretary, DARPG, Govt. of India.

The Conference's main goal is to unite organisations working in public administration at the federal, state, and local levels so they can share knowledge about innovations in public administration, transforming future public solutions to enhance quality of life, good governance, e-Governance, digital governance, etc. Representatives from the States are invited to present on initiatives that have received PM awards during the two-day conference, and excellent governance practises from the States are also chosen for further dissemination. All Indian States and Union Territories will send delegates to the conference.
